Results

1 – Creation of a heatmap with information about the amount collected per parish in the municipality of Santo Tirso, normalised by population;
2 – Deep analysis report on the financial and demographic results of each year of fundraising, with suggestions for improvements to be presented to the local councils;

The Report allows Rotaract Santo Tirso a better exposition of the financial results of its National Peditory (Peditório Nacional) to the town councilors of each parish. This allows a quantitative and informed decision-making process, which is expected to result in a greater allocation of resources by the local authorities to the fundraising.

Impact Measurement (march 2020)

The analysis made allowed Rotaract to better interpret the results obtained by each parish in the collection. For example, the comparison, between parishes, of the amount raised per inhabitant had never been done before and allowed us to better evaluate the performance of each parish.
The visualizations allowed Rotaract to communicate in a more impactful way the results of each parish to the respective Council Presidents. The comparisons made allowed us to appeal more directly to the critical sense and responsibility of each parish council.
The analysis concerning the volunteers’ performance, taking into account their age and gender, revealed to be important to “show” and motivate the contribution of the older volunteers, who are the ones who contribute the most but also the ones who tend to give up participating with age.
In general, having this analysis and the respective visualizations increased the credibility of Rotaract as the driving entity of the Peditório Nacional da Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro em Santo Tirso.
